Craziness!! I was looking back through our honeymoon photos the other day and so many fond memories flooded my mind. We planned to visit Mauritius after exploring many options. The Underwater Sea Walk is one of the most unique attractions that one must experience when visiting Mauritius. It is a true once in a lifetime experience for all the non-divers out there! We were mesmerized!!!! Some experiences are difficult to recreate. The glimpse of the fascinating world beneath the waves is magic that surpasses all. These are one of those experiences which not only give adrenaline rush but also memories for a lifetime.

How Under Seawater Activity Works

• Relax!! The Underwater Sea Walk does not require any professional knowledge of swimming or diving and you do not have to remove your glasses or contact lenses even. 
• The excursion begins with a transfer via a motorboat from the center of Grand Baie (A place near the shore) to a platform situated in the middle of the sea.
• Upon arrival to the platform, we received pre-departure briefings by the guides about the local marine life, on safety procedures with certain symbols or signs to ensure our comfort or uneasiness inside the sea. 
• Then, with the help of the guide and Lifeguard, we go off board the platform to start our underwater walk adventure.
  
  
  
  
  

    The Real Scuba Diver Experience

• I was feeling so nervous and excited at the same time and hold my Hubby’s hand tightly with one hand and another hand with the Lifeguard who was there to escort us. Managing my body’s balance, handling the oxygen Cylinder apparatus (for normal breathing) above the head so that water could not enter into it or mouth, I was even whispering and praying to God and was collecting my courage as this was my first experience in water as I even don’t know swimming.
  
  
  

  
  
•  But maybe the feelings of young age, a romantic trip, newlywed, and a bond to your partner and to enjoy life to the fullest as you never know when you are going to get this time again, these all led me to an entirely new journey with a new beginning. But Good Heavens….suddenly I realized that I was also a part of the Aqua life!!
  
  
  The colorful fishes ...small creatures...various colored grasses...crystal clean green-blue water ...all were enough to make us feel in another world of Adventure... I was so comfortable now that I felt as if I am a Scuba Diver who is soon going to shoot a discovery film about water animals…
  
  
  
  
  We walked on the land-type area, the ocean floor, which was plain under the sea, fed bread to the fish, and hold each other for the lifetime memories to cherish later.  
  
  
  
• A cameraman diver from the organizer’s team captured our photographs and recorded our video which was earlier opted by us in the package.
  
  
• It was approx. 20 minutes underwater trail and we came out with an experience of a lifetime and an intense pleasure of a sub-marine stroll. A total of 1 hr. time it took to complete the entire walkthrough.
